We recommend waiting a week before painting so that they dry out fully first.
We recommend watered down trade emulsion for the first coat as this provides an excellent base for other coats of paint.
We can plasterboard it or remove the ceiling and re-plaster a new one. Alternatively we can remove any high-points in your ceiling and apply a two-coat plaster skim. This smooths out the ceiling. Remember, some Artex ceilings might need more work to get them smooth and lump-free.
Once the ceiling has dried out, plasterboard might leave some sagging. It’s best to remove and replace it to avoid mould growth. Then your ceiling should be re-plastered. Some leaks can be patched up in places depending on the level of water damage.
